A Break Around the World

11/23/2024

Logos Celebrate "Om Touk" by giving students a one-week break that includes the 3-day Water Festival. In Cambodia, locals spend the break cheering on boat races that represent their respective provinces. However, here in Logos the break allows for students to get their minds off studying and enjoy life a little. Some of our journalism students were fortunate enough to be able to travel outside of the country for their break, sightseeing beautiful sceneries and creating life-long memories. As a little way to commemorate, we have compiled their experiences in one article to see the beauty of the world.

A Tour Around Austrailia

Our graphic designer, Chhi Chhi, spent her break in Austrailia traveling to different cities and indulging in all its beauty, delicacies, and architecture.

"The people in Australia are amazing. They are very kind and helpful. I like the beaches, architectures, and history of the nation!" - Chan Chhi Chhi, G.12

A Quick Return Back Home

Our photographer, Yang, returned back to his home-town in China for some personal reasons. Despite that, he was able to enjoy some blissful memories and reconnect with his roots.

"LinYi, Shandong is my hometown, the place where I grew. This time I went back to Linyi, I felt the future, but not only the future. While having high level of technology everywhere, old memories of this city to me at everywhere too." - Yang Jinhao, G.11

Lighting the Sky in Chiang Mai

Rachel, our video editor, spent part of her break in the breath-taking city Chiang Mai. Though her stay was short, she made incredible life long memories which included floating lanterns, meeting elephants and so much more!

We asked Rachel what she enjoyed on her trip:

"The lanterns, seeing old friends, baobao (my friends dog) mental health reset." - Rachel McCullough, G.12
