#BLACKPINK-IN-YOUR-AREA

03/02/2019

Imagine walking into a huge stadium and feeling the rumbles of the footsteps of other concert goers. You see a wave of pink lights that flow into the seats and into the standing area. You hear the squeaky noises from the lightsticks and all you can feel is excitement. The excitement runs through your body and the adrenaline rushes your brain as the music comes on, but it is only the music videos. You listen and sing yearning for the time for the beautiful girls to show themselves. Finally, the music is cranked up and your ears receive a massive hit.

Your body is now uncontrollable and your vocal cords are working overtime to show your support and the eagerness to see the girls perform. Like goddesses, they get lifted up onto the stage as lasers mark their arrival and the music goes into full blast. Lisa, Jisoo, Rose, and Jennie suddenly appear performing their hit song DDU-DDU-DDU and the whole stadium is shaking. The satisfaction of seeing the girls after waiting for so long seeps in and the joy received.

I walked into the stadium expecting to be swept off my feet and BLACKPINK clearly did more than I expected. Each performance brought out the unique qualities that each of the members has and they embraced the power of each of the girls. At one moment in the concert Jisoo, my favorite member, walked down the stage and took the time to say hello. Her eyes met my eyes and she winked at me and waved. All I can think about is that I have been touched and blessed by a queen. The light that shined on her made her look even more perfect and from there, the concert only got better. Lisa came out with a BANGING dance performance that left all jaws in the stadium unhinged and Rose just blessing our ears with her solo performance of Let it Be by the Beatles and Park Bom's You and I. Lastly, Jennie's SOLO, the long-awaited performance. I hear people chanting JENNIE as the music slowly gets louder. Jennie enters the stage and the whole crowd just roars singing her song. The vibrations that come from the crowd singing were one of the best parts of the whole concert. I was literally in a room where fangirling was acceptable and I could say that I went all out. If any of you have a chance to go see a BLACKPINK concert, it is one hundred million percent worth it.
