CARNIVAL 2020

02/12/2020

On January 18th, was the 13th Logos Carnival! It was an event that catered to all, from the ones that love food to the ones looking to have fun. The booths at Carnival, which was set up by each grade, offered a large and diverse range of games, from physical activities, like Just Dance and shooting hoops, to more laid-back ones like face painting and nail painting. From these booths, the most popular had to be the jail. People could pay a certain amount of tickets for a certain person to be caught and face painted. Even while most of the other booths were quiet, the jail was always bustling with people coming in and out. In most of these booths, you had to pay a certain amount of green tickets, and if you won the game or achieved a certain amount of points, you would get blue tickets. The blue tickets could be used to buy cool prizes like slinkies (my personal favorite), dress down tickets, and slime.

Now you might be thinking, what if I get hungry? Well, worry not, because there was also a wide selection of food at Carnival! The Korean moms had their own booth selling Korean foods and cold drinks. The cold drinks were especially a relief in the hot weather. The Khmer parents also had their booth selling traditional Khmer curry with noodles and bread. There were also a few restaurants/food vendors from outside of the Logos community that visited. They sold burgers, meat, cotton candy, and popcorn. The MUN club also had its own booth selling funnel cakes. Needless to say, you wouldn't have needed to worry about food.

Was the weather great? No. Was there just the right amount of people? Not really. But even though these factors certainly might deter some people from Carnival, the event was fun and it was a chance for the Logos community to interact with each other closely. It would have helped if the weather was a bit better, but it's not something that we can control. 100/10 for Carnival!
