Club Fair 2022

"Take a virtual tour of Logos' 2022 Club Fair"

This year's Club Fair organized by StuCo was a great hit; crowded with people dancing to the beat, talking amongst themselves, and roaming around to find information about each club, room 314 was the liveliest it has ever been. Bored this year? Got too much idle time during lunch perhaps? Or maybe you just want some snazzier college applications? Logos' 2022 clubs have got you covered. New and old alike, there is sure to be at least one club just right for you.

DANCE CLUB (Grades 6-12)

Let loose and groove to your own beat at Joy Choi and HeeWoo Kim's Dance Club. Their doors are open to everyone ready to have fun and release the stress of everyday school-no rigorous expectations here. Don't worry if you're not confident in your dancing skills; everyone here is learning together.

Joy Choi: "Our club is going to be full of entertainment, and we're just going to have a lot of fun. Our goal is to release the stress students have in general and to bring in a new culture to Logos."

ESPORTS CLUB (Grades 8-12)

Gaming at school? More likely than you think. Jiwon Chun and Cody Chhea's Esports Club is the perfect excuse to get away from those annoyingly active friends who always go to the gym during recess, stay on a device for an extended period of time, and relish in your teachers' suffering as they are required to encourage such behavior.

Cody Chhea: "We made this club to have fun while also being able to connect with the school."

FASHION CLUB (Grades 9-12)

Interested in knowing how to look stylish? Don't get full of yourself; you need to be. And no, it's not because of your clothes; the problem is with you (or more specifically, your styling). But no need to worry. Minseo Kim and Yeonwoo Kang's Fashion Club is here to rectify your fashion catastrophes-all with a trademark elegance and flair.

Minseo Kim: "We're going to be looking at what's trending in fashion right now, we're going to gather old, reusable clothes and style them on Instagram, and we're going to make donations and more."

JOURNALISM (Grades 9-12)

If you're reading this article right now, you're clearly interested in upkeeping with the school. You should join. Journalism is objectively the best club offered on campus. Photography, writing, videography, holiday events-you name it. We have it all.

Jan Chem: "We're a very open club; we accept everybody." (*Says the highschool-exclusive club*)

Shareen Saputra (with my unbiased modifications): "We've been around since 2018, and we've covered a lot of treasured memories and keepsakes here at Logos. There have been about 4 alumni groups-each one unique in their own way-and through your support and active participation, we hope to maintain this club's legacy indefinitely into the coming school years." (It's also great on college applications while not being intensive. :) )

MATH CLUB (Grades 6-12)

Despite its daunting name, Math Club is designed to help those in need of academic support to flourish in those pesky mandatory math classes. They offer homework help and learning support-nothing less than ideal for a struggling student. If you're already proficient at math, don't overlook this club just yet: Math Club can help you hone and sharpen that ingrained talent.

Bryant Lay: "We do learning support, we help you with homework, and we can apply you for competitions (which look great on college applications). If you join, we can also help with physics and stats."

Model UN (Grades 6-12)

Model UN, or MUN for short, is an amiable yet demanding environment aiming to enrich your mind with current global concerns and get you thinking on your feet. Controlled and strict as their conferences may be, when you're on the stand representing your country, you'll relish in the thrill of utterly shutting down opponents (in a congenial manner, of course).

Olivia Lee: "MUN is fun, it looks really good on your college repertoire, and you could meet the love of your life through MUN conferences, so everyone should join."

PPE OVERDOSE (Grades 9-12)

Perhaps not as good on college applications as MUN but infinitely more chill, PPE Overdose is a club for discussion, debate, critical thinking, and social awareness. Curious about worldly happenings? Enticed by dispassionate analysis? Neither but you need to get smarter for Mrs. Skogen's and Mr. Barrett's history and philosophy classes? Email Paul Jung a.s.a.p. and save yourself a seat at the PPE Overdose Club.

Paul Jung: "Our primary goal is to enhance and widen the academic horizons of our participants, and then to improve their presentation and debating skills. [...] We hope the program will help develop their problem-solving skills and analytical thinking."

RUNNING CLUB (Grades 6-12)

Destress and release all your pent-up energy at Anneliese's afterschool Running Club. For the fit and unfit looking to workout alike, Running Club fixes your gaze forward toward the finish line-toward God. Endure the race and win your prize.

Anneliese Thomas: "Running Club is a club where we gather [afterschool] to run. We aim to improve our physical and mental fitness, and we do it for God's glory."

TBT (Grades 6-12)

Christ once said, "The truth will set you free." But the truth can be difficult to discern amidst the world's noise and chaos. At TBT, you can safely search for the truth to your heart's content-freely and entirely unashamed of anyone's judgment.

Miriam McCullough: "TBT is a great space to be honest and open about your faith, to get advice-especially from a Christian point of view-and to talk and get to know each other on a spiritual level."

Good luck to all the club leaders and members as they get through this school year! We hope to hear more about the fruitful discussions and activities they will have:)
