Courtside Thrills: An Exciting Recap of ASAC Junior Basketball!

The ASAC Junior Basketball Tournament, a thrilling three-day event showcasing the talents of nine different teams competing for first place, was eagerly ‌anticipated by many excited middle schoolers! Fierce competition and intense matches were seen. The Logos Community hosted the tournament at NISC and worked tirelessly to ensure its success. The Logos community played an integral role in supporting this event by banding together to volunteer at NISC. Their dedication to helping out highlights their commitment to supporting their team and fostering a vibrant sports culture within their community.

Before the event, Logos students prepared a warm welcome for schools from outside the country, going to the airport to welcome the different schools as they arrived individually. On the first day of the event, the students greeted each team and guided them to the courts, where they received gifts such as T-shirts, bottles, and scarves. From the first day, the atmosphere on the courts was electric, filled with a symphony of noise and palpable excitement. Players were engaged in lively interactions, eagerly making new friends and exchanging friendly banter. After the opening ceremony, the air was filled with anticipation.

Soon, the tournament officially began. Logos volunteers, stationed at different courts, were rushing to pay careful attention to the match and manage the scoreboards. The intensity on the court heightened as players, determined to secure a victory, fought relentlessly, displaying exceptional athleticism and unwavering commitment. Many games ended with remarkably close scores. After the games, players showed sportsmanship as they extended their hands to their opponents, acknowledging their efforts.

Logos athletes proved their prowess in the tournament, as the daunting opponents from opposing teams didn't deter the athletes from giving their all! Although Logos didn't place first, they garnered respect from their peers for the hard work and determination displayed. Both Logos boys and girls placed 5th overall.

After countless matchups, the players worked to the bone for victory. Undoubtedly, the pressure on both teams to perform was palpable. All members of their teams played to the fullest extent, with ISHCMC taking first place for the boys and UWC taking first place for the girls! The final result for the guys was 40-21 in favor of ISHCMC. ISHCMC and UWC prevailed as junior basketball victors.


On the last day, many teams stood together to take group pictures with their teams and with other teams, forming new, lasting friendships and memories—many exchanging social media contacts, showing how sports can bring people together. The winners proudly took their pictures, displaying their medals and trophies cheerfully.

Overall, this tournament was a thrilling display of talent, sportsmanship, and community spirit, bringing together basketball enthusiasts from many schools. With ISHCMC and UWC emerging as strong contenders and the Logos community lending its support through volunteer efforts, this event underscored not only the spirit of friendly competition but also how individuals can come together to celebrate sportsmanship and teamwork.
