Drop by Flat-White Cafe!
What better way to reward yourself after pulling through a whole day at school than grabbing a bite or a cup of coffee in a simplistic yet aesthetic coffee house? Visit student-recommended Flat White Cafe for a quick bite paired with the most aesthetically pleasing decor!
Flat white is a great place to drop by before or after school. About 5-10 minutes away from campus, the little two-story coffee shop can be spotted just along the road. The cafe is full of unique decorations— each could be used as a prop to elevate your aesthetic photos.
As soon as you walk in, you'll be welcomed by their friendly staff and a fresh display of pastries. Here are some of our ratings for the treats that they offer:
3/5 Chicken Avo Grilled Toast ($4.5):
A piece of salty, tender chicken squished in between two avocado slices, cheese, a fried egg, and two pieces of mayo spread toast. Not anything special, but if you're on the way to school with an empty stomach, this order could help fill you up.
3.5/5 Matcha Omelete ($4.5) served in a box of 4:
The composition is interesting; it's like a soft pancake in between cream with a strawberry to top it off. Although the pastry itself isn't so sweet, the strawberry on top makes up for it. Not bad for people who don't like their sweets too sugary.
5/5 Hokkaido Cupcake ($2.5):
Cute for photos and the stomach! Although the cupcake itself is nearly bite-sized, the flavor and softness of the cake make up for it. It isn't too dry with the right touch of sweetness. Pair it with some tea and it can serve as a morning snack.
2/5 Red Velvet Cheesecake ($4.8):
The pastry has many layers including a nutty oreo crust, red velvet cheesecake, and cream cheese. We can't forget the crushed Oreos sprinkled on top. It wasn't sweet and quite filling. There's a touch of bitterness to it, too. However, for the price point, we don't necessarily think that it's worth the buy.
4/5 Roselle Hibiscus ($3.5):
A pretty-looking cup of cold tea; the tea itself has a refreshing fruity and flowery scent. It's sweet, but the tinge of sourness backs it up. The flavor balances itself well with the help of the ice cubes.
3/5 Backyard Garden ($3.5):
Another elegant-looking drink, although the roselle hibiscus definitely beats it in aspects of flavor. The more you drink it, the more it tastes like lemon soda.
3.5/5 Iced Tiramisu Latte ($4.5):
The iced tiramisu packs a punch on your first few sips. The addictive sweetness will leave you craving more. The cream was fluffy, and mixing it enhances its flavor even more. You get the quality you paid for; It's the perfect drink for people with a sweet tooth.
Flate-White is famous for its decor and we have to give them that—the decor is certainly breathtaking. We recommend that you try this cafe if you haven't, but do be reminded that the cafe is quite small and isn't the most suitable place for studying.
