Food Review #11: Vine Burger

09/02/2021

Welcome to the second edition of Journalism Club's 2021 Food Review!!! This time, we will be reviewing The Vine Burger. The Vine is actually a hair salon and bar, but they also sell burgers and other food, so we decided to give it a shot. Although you can dine-in and eat at the restaurant, we decided to review their delivery experience as it's more practical during this time(please keep that in mind during the review).

Price

The price is fair compared to other fast-food restaurants, but it's not as pricey as some bars or fancy restaurants. Their signature Big Mac burger(with fries) will cost you 7.75$, which is on par with Carl's Jr but a tad bit cheaper than Habit burger. Another option is the Southern Fried Chicken Burger, which costs 6.5$ with fries included. Although the price looks pretty fair, drinks aren't included with the set. On top of that, the fries are pretty mediocre compared to other food restaurants. Though it honestly just depends on what you order.

Packaging and Presentation

We ordered Vine Burger two separate times; the first time, the food came in a neat paper bag with food packaged inside recyclable containers. The second time we ordered it, the food came in regular burger wrapping and fry containers. Since the packaging is so inconsistent, we are unsure of the packaging and presentation you will receive if you decide to order.

Taste

At last, the best part of the whole experience, THE TASTE OF THE FOOD(probably the only part that truly matters at the end of the day). Even though the packaging may vary or the price could be a little out of budget, the juicy flavor is always something to look forward to. Their meat patties are thick with no fat, leaving you full at the end of the meal. There isn't a part of the burger that I could confidently say I didn't like because it was THAT GOOD. After our review, we would say the taste is a solid nine out of ten for a burger shop.

Testimonies

Here are some reviews of The Vine Burger from some of our fellow Logos students.

"The cheese sensually melting down my chicken was particularly arousing." -Zion G. Pol

"It's pretty good. would recommend🙂" -Emily Huynh

"This is absolutely my favorite burger restaurant in Cambodia." -Tony Kang

"Scrumptious!" -Vireek Sree-ongoo

Conclusion

At the end of the day, we have to say whether Vine Burger is worth it or not. When presentation and aesthetics aren't important to you, Vine Burger takes the lead with their delicious filling burgers. Ordering from here won't be the cheapest meal you can buy, but it will be worth the money you spend on their food. Plus, it's always fun to discover more underrated eateries rather than sticking to the regular fast food chains;).
