How to Motivate Yourself in 100 Easy Steps
[NOT CLICKBAIT]
Productivity challenges are a fun way to boost your motivation - especially now that we're halfway through the semester (which means that many of us are beginning to lose steam). Thus, we would like to direct your attention to the 100 Days of Productivity Challenge! The concept itself is pretty self-explanatory: you do something productive every day for 100 days. It comes from the idea that each day, we can do at least one thing to push us forward. The challenge is meant to improve your sense of accomplishment (woo-hoo!) and to, well, help you be more productive.
Of course, there is no rule that says that the 100 days HAVE to be consecutive. Most people attempt to finish the challenge in consecutive days, but we totally understand that that isn't always possible. If you miss a day, don't feel bad! Just remember to bounce back and continue the next day. With that being said, though, we encourage (see: challenge) you to do 100 days uninterrupted, as it's a great way to build self-discipline (which will carry you further than motivation ever will).
What counts as productive, though, is entirely up to you and what you feel is worth recognition. Although most people do something study-related each day, this isn't a set rule. Here are a few examples of things you could do:
- Sorting out your expenses
- Organizing your files
- Setting up your monthly plan
- Spring cleaning your bedroom space
- Applying for jobs, internships, and volunteering opportunities
- Cleaning out your inbox (bye-bye spam emails!)
- Finishing a book you've been meaning to read
- Decluttering your desk and study space
- Organizing your bookshelf
- Studying for an accumulative 2 hours a day
- Finishing all your homework
Of course, this isn't a complete list, but you get the idea. You can do any task that helps you achieve a positive and organized result. Here's a cute printable to help you keep track of your days: <3
You can start the challenge whenever you like (and if you start now, you'll be finished by Christmas!). As someone who's done this before, though, I highly recommend doing it with your friends. This way, you can encourage and motivate one another, and keep each other accountable. If you'd like advice, or still have any questions, send us a message on our Instagram or Facebook!
