Last Minute Christmas Gift Ideas
It's unbelievable but Christmas is just a few hours away, which means presents should be chosen, wrapped, and under the tree by now (or hidden if you don't have a Christmas tree). Maybe you totally forgot about getting gifts or you're having a hard time deciding what to get. That's alright, we're here to recommend some last-minute gifts for the people around you!
A Pack of Surgical Masks
This is the first Christmas we are having during this pandemic so why not get some colorful surgical masks for everyone to keep safe during the holidays! To make it even more fun you can hygienically decorate the masks or even sew your own.
Accessories for Electronic Devices
A very simple and easy pay gift idea would be to purchase accessories for electronic devices. Your friends and family will happily receive protective cases for their devices; you can even decorate clear cases to add a creative touch to them! Other accessories include digital purchases like games from the app store, a speaker for blasting music, a selfie stick, and more.
Skin/Self-care Products
A gift made to give your mother, sister, friends, or just anyone who does or wants to start skincare! Consider getting several facial masks, a skincare bundle, or something they've always wanted to pamper themselves with.
Stationery and Books
If you have a stationary or book lover, then maybe stationeries and books as gifts would do the trick. Stationery items such as brush pens, highlighters, their favorite pen, or ones with cute things on them. You can get them something they've always wanted, a new one, or the same stationery so they have backups. You could also get them a planner for the New Years if it's something they do.
Foods/sweets (candies, cookies, cakes, etc)
How ecstatic would your loved ones be if you gave them something edible! Many delicious sweets can be baked or made by anyone at home like cookies and cakes. If you want to step it up a notch, you can decorate a gingerbread house with a loved one. If you can't bake or cook, don't fret because you can always buy candies and other treats at a local bakery or supermarket.
Cozy Items (a cozy blanket, socks, sweaters, etc)
We all love getting clothes and other soft wearable things as gifts. Clothes are a great last-minute gift, as long as you know the right size. If you don't, maybe give them an oversized hoodie (who doesn't like oversized hoodies). You could also get them a soft fuzzy blanket, little soft plushies, a throw pillow, or other soft things they may like.
Gift Cards
If your gift receiver loves shopping or getting things from their favorite store, perhaps a gift card is the gift for them. Top up the gift card with a certain amount (perhaps an amount that will satisfy them), and let whoever's keeping it go shopping! Be sure to be safe while you do so.
Anything that reminds you of them
Maybe it's a stuffed animal, something silly, or something that's completely bizarre, but it's the thought that counts. If you're unsure what to get, maybe look around or make something that reminds you of that person. It could be something that could come in handy, or simply for decoration.
Photo Memory Book of 2020
From this hectic year, you may have plenty of photos from your at home adventures. By printing and pasting pictures onto a notebook, you can make a photo book/journal for all your memories. Make sure to add color, stickers, notes, and whatnot as decoration. If a physical photo book seems like too much work you can always make a digital one. This gift will especially be special for your friends and family to reminisce about the times you spent together. As the years go by, you can add even more pictures to your photo book.
Handmade Crafts
Giving someone a handmade origami ornament or craft may seem bland or even cheesy, but give it a try! Although the finished product looks normal and not all that special, the time put into it is what makes handmade crafts unique and special. You can make these by yourself at home, or buy one from someone you know who does/sells handmade crafts.
Candles
Who wouldn't love their house smelling like a nice burning candle (unless you're not a candle fan)? You can get your loved ones a vanilla scented candle, lavender, or a scent of your preference and have it light up whenever you want.
Time
If all else fails, the last gift you could ever give someone is your time. Instead of staying in your room or on your device, go spend time with your family or friends. Play some music, board games, bake something, or watch a movie together! Time is a precious thing that can be wasted if not careful, so make the most of it with the people you love.
We hope this list helps you find your last-minute gift this holiday season! If it doesn't happen this Christmas, maybe save it for next Christmas or even a birthday gift. It doesn't have to turn out perfect, just remember that everything is from the heart. Stay safe and happy this holiday :-)
