Logos' New Addition: Badminton Club
Jump! Smash! Lightning badminton club has kicked off in the last few weeks. Tiredness, competitions, and excitement are some emotions the members will be experiencing during procedures on Thursday after school. These weekly practices will be overseen and coached by Mr. Sokun Kim, Mrs. Skogen, Ms. KD, and more. The club encourages students to engage in the competitive sport with fellow school peers alongside the support of coaches. We decided to ask students and teachers how they felt about the latest badminton club.
"I am excited because I joined the badminton club for me to also play badminton. It is for my health and also my love to help supervise the kids. Especially when I see them play basketball, volleyball, and more. This is the first time the school had a badminton club and I am very excited." - Mrs. Skogen, supervisor of the Badminton Club.
"I love to play badminton, and teaching the students will be a fun experience." - Mr. Sokun Kim, coach of the Badminton Club.
"I just joined because of my friends. However, I do enjoy playing badminton often because it is a fun sport. I hope the members have a lot of fun and enjoy playing." - Hyunung Go, Sophomore.
"I'm excited about the badminton club as it could lead to future tournaments with other schools. This is something new in Logos and I hope we will have lots of competitions." - Vitu Chhea, Freshman.
"Badminton is one of my favorite sports. I am competitive, so I am very excited about the club. I hope to compete against fellow Logosians, teachers, and hopefully other schools." - Mason Mvosters, Junior.
Practices will be every Thursday, after school, @Racket Badminton Club. Coaches advise participants to bring along their own racket, shoes, and proper attire. For more information about the club, please contact the coaches/supervisors or Mr. Sin.
