NA-NI-WRI-MO! (NANI?)

Sometimes, it's just too easy to drift from writing one novel to starting another. And that's understandable. Feeling light and happy because your crush just smiled at you? Perfect time to write a Nicholas Spark-inspired novel. Just finished watching an action live film? Screw the romance novel - it's time to write the coolest and most exciting story anyone would ever read. Or maybe just simply feeling touched by the nature and the people around you? Goodbye action novel, hello poetry.

And if you're any like me, this happens practically five times a day. You probably have binders and notebooks filled with ideas and random dialogue. Pinterest boards that spark up your inspiration. Ideas in colourful post-it's overflowing your desk.

And so if you were meaning to get a novel completed, November is the perfect time.

National Novel Writing Month(NaNoWriMo) is an internet-based event where writers all around the world gather to create their novel. NaNoWriMo helps you keep track of your writing count and gives you support and tips from other writers (both amateur and experienced). Badges are given to encourage progress (because we all know who tends to fall off the wagon halfway through!).

Discussions of developing characters, creating plots, designing covers, and other writing-related threads are offered so that you can participate and create online friends (it's basically where you can nerd out with the rest of your online writer-friends).

The NaNoWriMo is like an online library where writers of all ages, genders, and races are joined globally to put their talent off to write a book in a month. Constructing a novel in a month is obviously no easy work, of course (which is why September and October are there for you to create a plot and work on character development!), however, if you've been meaning to finish a novel any time soon, Na-No-Wri-Mo is a good place to start! Happy writing!
