Class of 2022: Wrapping Up
Unfortunately, as the year comes to end we have to say good-bye to this year's beloved seniors of class of 2022. Due to Covid, they weren't able to get the full experience of what being a senior is really like, but that didn't stop them from enjoying their last year. We interviewed a few seniors on how they felt this year, and their experiences of being a student at Logos for the past years. We cumulated a few questions regarding their experiences, and advices for the future of Logos:
How was the senior photoshoot a few weeks ago? How did you feel?
"It was great, but it was hot and I had to wait a long time. And after I did that I was really tired, so I went home and I... relaxed." - Zion
"Stressed; it was really hot. The pictures turned out great though" - Sreyneath
"You know uhh, it was really cool cause like I know I'm better looking than everyone else so they can learn from me"😎 - Tehsin
Do you have any advice for your underclassmen? Or anything you'd like to say to the school's future generations?
"Study hard, sleep plenty. Uhh, study hard, sleep plenty, eat plenty and then you will never go wrong- and don't do drugs." - Zion
"Uhmm... I would say, be diligent, be dedicated, and have perseverance. Because it's not going to be easy, but you'll make it." - Sreyneath
"Senioritis is real, don't let it get to you. And don't party too hard." - Tehsin
Learn how to balance fun and growth. Something that many of the seniors regret looking back on our highschool years is not taking advantage of all the opportunities to make memories together. Make the most of the time you have with those around you, be intentional about making memories, and have fun. At the same time, be willing to grow. Growth often feels like loss so even though you want to keep everything picture perfect know that sometimes there will be difficulty or things that won't be so fun. Growth may mean learning to be more disciplined in school or letting go of friendships aren't constructive anymore. Don't go to either extreme of fun or growth, instead, have a balance. - Emily
Trust your gut and don't watch kpop - Vireak
"Make the most of your time with all your classmates, make new friends, and get to know your teachers." - Ryan
What is one thing(or more) you will miss the most when you leave Logos?
"One thing that I will miss the most about Logos is its safety. Logos has become such a safe space for me whether it be because of its familiarity or because I know that there are people there that I could always go to if I needed help. I will miss the comfort of walking through the halls during lunch and hearing different classes having fun together. I will miss talking to teachers about the most random things just because I can. Logos has come to feel like home. Who wouldn't miss the safety home?" - Emily
"I will miss the community and some teachers." - Vireak
"The teachers that have taught me and the friends that I have made." - Ryan
If you could go back to your freshman year would you have done anything differently?
"My first class of AP comp-sci grade nine; I slept on the first day and then I did not know anything for the rest of the year." - Zion
"Actually yes, I would have taken my studies a little more seriously. Because- that it's not that- nono. Think about it this way, ninth is where you start to build habits. And if you don't start prioritizing, working hard, and stuff, when you get to your senior year it's really hard to break those habits. - Sreyneath
"If I knew covid was gonna happen I would've enjoyed freshman year and sophomore year a lot more. And maybe appreciate a lot of the teachers who left." - Tehsin
"If I could go back to freshman year I feel like something I would change is my outlook on life. I spent so much time and energy stressing out about the little things when in reality, everything that seems like such a big deal really wasn't. That one question you answer wrong in class isn't the end of the world. The drama that happens passes and is either forgotten or remembered and laughed about. I wish I had realized sooner that I should learn from experiences and move forward." - Emily
"I would have invested in bitcoin, Ethereum, and GameStop." - Vireak
"Get to know the underclassmen better because I did not really talk to them during freshmen year." - Ryan
We'd like to give a big thank you to a few of our seniors for complying with our questions. In a few days, they'll take another big step in life and graduate from our community in which we call our second home. With different views and perspectives from each and every senior, we can see a bright future ahead of each and every one of them in whatever they may choose to do. Congratulations seniors, you've survived high school. :)
