#StuCoSurveyNumber3
As a student council, our main goal is to empower and represent the student body to the best of our ability. In order to gauge our progress, we conduct a bi-monthly school-wide census, as we believe that it is the most efficient method of data collection.
Here are the total medians*, from grade 6 to 12:
Communication: 8
Response Speed: 8
Actively seeks opinions: 8
Satisfaction with efforts: 8
Satisfaction with Student Store: 8
Interest in inter-school events: 4
Due to a general lack of interest in inter-school events, we will choose to focus on other things instead. While we seek to represent the majority, we do apologize to the few who were enthusiastic about an inter-school event happening.
We have taken note of the requests for more announcements and will try to keep the student body updated through more detailed chapel announcements and more homeroom announcements, especially for middle school.
For those who came to StuCo with grievances they wanted to see addressed, thank you. We appreciate the time you took to approach a representative with an issue that you wanted to see solved. If you would like a follow-up on whether your suggestion was discussed/whether solutions will be implemented, please do not hesitate to ask for one from your class representative.
While we are on the topic of suggestions, we are humbled by the many kind comments we received on our communication efforts this year. We will try to actively seek the student body's opinions, even more, this semester.
We have also seen many comments on the price of food sold by the student store. We will try to keep prices low, although we will make no promises about the price of juice. Thank you to the frozen juice fanatics for your suggestions! They were noted with much appreciation. We will also be trying our best to ensure that there is a variety of food sold as well.
Your suggestions for events are also noted with much appreciation. We love planning events and are excited by your enthusiasm and ideas!
As for the changes you would like to see on campus, we will take them to the administration as soon as possible to see which ones can be addressed. Thank you for your honesty and frankness. We do appreciate it every time a student comes up to tell us where we can do better, and strongly encourage all of you to come to us with your concerns.
Be watching for more events, and better Logos Cup challenges!
*Fully aware that means are not a statistically accurate representation of the data due to the presence of outliers, the median is more accurate, given the data's distribution. Although not all students were able to take it, there were enough responses collected (132 total) to render any missing data statistically insignificant.
