TikTok Pasta: Is It Actually Worth the Hype?
A baked feta pasta recipe has been blowing up all across TikTok, and we'll be putting it to the test today. If you're on TikTok, you've probably heard about the feta shortages in Finland's grocery stores.
With the insane amount of popularity, the dish itself still has mixed opinions; you either love it or hate it.
I decided to put it to the test the other day to see if it's as good as it looks. The recipe itself was pretty easy to follow and required minimal cooking skills. I have to say, I wasn't very keen on trying it at first because I'm not a fan of tomatoes. However, I am a convert. The tartness of the tomatoes perfectly cut the rich, salty, and creamy feta!
If you're not convinced, try it for yourself:)

To make this, gather all the ingredients and equipment. Make sure you preheat your oven for about 15 minutes at 200℃.
Ingredients
Cherry tomatoes 350g - 400g
A block of feta cheese
Olive oil
Minced garlic (1-2 cloves)
Seasoning (Oregano, red pepper flakes, basil, pepper)
Parsley (optional)
Pasta (any type)
Salt
An oven-safe dish (a casserole dish or a baking sheet)

To start off, put your tomatoes in a casserole dish or a baking sheet. Then, make some space in the middle for the feta cheese.
Drizzle some olive oil over the whole thing. Now, there isn't an exact measurement of olive oil, but make sure you use a generous amount to cover the whole thing(I used about ⅓ of a cup).
Next, you'll want to add the minced garlic and season with the seasonings mentioned above. You don't need to add salt because the feta cheese is already salty(you're going to get the additional salt from the pasta water).
After, put everything into the oven for about 30-45 minutes. When there's about 10 minutes left on the feta, you want to start cooking the pasta. Make sure you HEAVILY salt the water that you're going to cook the pasta in. Cook your pasta according to the instructions on the box; make sure to save about ½ cup of the pasta water and drain the rest.
Take your feta and tomatoes out of the oven and mash everything together. Add your pasta, along with the pasta water that you saved.
Now, you can see for yourself if it's really worth it. Let us know your opinion on it if you decide to try it out. :)
